Taizé Ash Wednesday
Worship Service
The Congregational Church of North Barnstead
(CCNB) cordially invites the public to attend a Taizé Ash Wednesday
Worship Service, February 10, at 7:00 p.m.
This peaceful service is in candlelight and
lasts 45 minutes. CCNB, a “year round” church built in 1820, is at 504
North Barnstead Road. Please come and join in as we begin the season of
Lent. All are welcome!
Congratulations to Kathryn McGinnis of Center
Barnstead, a freshman who is currently enrolled in Husson University’s
BS in Healthcare Studies/MS in Occupational Therapy program.
Students who make the Honors List must carry
at least 12 graded credit hours during the semester and earn a grade
point average of between 3.4 to 3.59 during the period.

Book Signing with Author
Kati Preston
The Oscar Foss Memorial Library is honored to host local author Kati
Preston for a book signing event on Saturday, February 20th at 9:30am.
Kati has written an autobiography titled “Holocaust to Healing: Closing
the Circle”. The book begins at the outset of World War II and
spans seven decades across seven countries: Hungary (Transylvania),
Israel, France, Great Britain, Italy, Portugal & the U.S.A. It is a book
that deftly chronicles love, persecution, triumph, adversity, turmoil,
peace, affairs, partings, collaborations, betrayals, births and deaths.
It is a veritable history lesson told with much humor, insight,
incisiveness and empathy. Copies of her book, “Holocaust to Healing:
Closing the Circle”, will be available for purchase the day of the
event.

Locke Lakers
Social Club Events
The Locke Lake Social Club has planned a Valentine Day Brunch on Sunday,
February 14th at 11a.m. at Dominic’s Restaurant. Following brunch
the group with gather at the Lodge for coffee and dessert and a time for
games. It will be as in the past, a fun time for all involved, so…

February 10th to make your reservation.
On March 20th the Locke Lakers Social Club with gather again at
Dominic’s Restaurant at 11a.m. for brunch. Following the meal a
time for socialization, and those who have made reservations will attend
the hilarious murder mystery “The Game’s Afoot” performed by The
Pittsfield Players at the Scenic Theatre in Pittsfield N.H.
Tickets are $14.00, doors open at 1:30p.m. for a 2 o’clock show.
This comedic mystery farce is based on the experiences of Sherlock
Holmes and will be a very funny afternoon. Please call Ann Shea at
