Out Of Your
Attic Thrift Shop News
By Ruthi True
Holidays Approaching Fast
At our thrift
shop at 345 Suncook Valley Road, we are collecting new toys for the needy
and homeless and would love for anyone to contribute to the project with us.
As volunteers who work hard all year on projects, this is one of the most
satisfying projects we do. Seeing a child end up with something who thought
maybe there wasn’t a Santa, has to be great. We hope we can count on you for
a NEW toy or game, puzzle, etc. for our holiday gift needs, as we are sure
the list of names will be longer this year than other years with the
economy like it is. If you have everything, wouldn’t it be nice to share
with those less fortunate? I can tell you from experience it is. Any
questions, please call Ruthi at 435-9339 Tue., Wed. or Thurs., or Daryl or
Bon on Sat.
We hear many stories about the folks who shop here at the store. Last week,
a women and a child were in and they shopped for another family where both
parents have lost their jobs and she was getting things to put away for them
for Christmas. She was amazed at the nice clothing we have for the price.
She was very happy when she left.
Mike was on our wish list for a pet gate and one finally came in. If you are
patient and not in a hurry, things eventually come into a thrift shop. Why
pay full price when you can get a great deal at local thrift shops? Today,
there are many thrift shops to pick from in a 20 mile range. It is a buyers’
market out there and we try hard to give you the best deal we can and still
pay bills. We try hard to make your shopping experience fun and rewarding.
Spend $5 and get your name in the weekly drawing.
The Last 4 winners were: Carol T., Barnstead, (this week),
Jamie T., Barnstead,
Josh Z., Laconia, and
Charm F., Gilmanton.
One other thing, we have found a couple of sets of keys. If you are one of
our shoppers and have mislaid your keys, check in at our desk when you come
by. Such an inconvenience to have to replace them.
Remember - any shop can make a statement, But we can make a difference!!
