The Chichester Town Library will be starting a Kids Lyme Support
Group. Lyme’s Disease can be extremely debilitating and there
are support groups in the area for teens and adults, so we decided
to start one for kids ages six to twelve. The meetings
will be held the 4th Wednesday of every month from 6 to 7. The
first meeting will be on January 27th. Call the library
with your questions, 798-5613.
The Chichester Heritage Commission will
meet on Thursday, January 21, at 7 p.m. at the Chichester Town
Library. Anyone interested in historic preservation is invited to
attend.
The Local Charrette Team will meet on
Monday, January 25, at 7 p.m. in the Chichester Historical Society
Museum on Main Street. This is an open meeting, and anyone
interested in implementing the suggestions in the charrette document
is welcome to attend.
Chichester Grange meets only once in
January and February. The next meeting will be February 3rd.
The menu for the January 27th supper at the Chichester Methodist
Church will be Baked Chicken and Noodles. Come join friends
and neighbors at the Methodist Church Parish Hall at 6:00 for great
food and company.
Happy Birthday to Aja Davison on January
23 and Isaac Jarvis on January 25.

new one for 50¢!
Valentine goods are out, be sure and check
the jewelry for a nice gift.
We have some additional VCR tapes and a VCR w/remote (just ask
a 10 yr old to hook it up and you can have movies galore!).
A Guardian Angel visited the Attic last
week (and it was not Jane Lynch). People can do very nice things.

We’re hoping to see everyone at the old fashioned New Hampshire Barn
Dance on Saturday at the Grange (54 Main Street) starting at 7 p.m.
In honor of the birthday of Scottish poet, Robert Burns,
participants are encouraged to wear something plaid or a tartan.
Nationally acclaimed and recognized caller and fiddle player Dudley
Laufman will be leading the dance, joined by Jacqueline Laufman and
Silva Miskoe. No previous experience is necessary.
Refreshments will be served and donations accepted.
This week’s classic movie is “Singin’ in the Rain,” to be shown
Friday, January 22nd, at 2 p.m. at the Library. This 1952
sensation stars Gene Kelley, Donald O’Connor, Cyd Charisse and
Debbie Reynolds. Often considered one of the best musicals
ever made, the United States Library of Congress deemed the film
“culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” in 1989 and
selected it for preservation in the National Film Registry.
As an introduction to the proposed joint venture of the Chichester
and Epsom libraries, i.e., the Alzheimer’s Café, the Concord
Regional Visiting Nurses Association will be presenting a program on
“Managing Caregivers’ Stress” on Jan 28th at the Epsom Library.
Please call either library for more details.
The Down Cellar Writers will be meeting on
Monday, January 25th, at 7 p.m. at the Library.
The Photography Group will also be meeting
on Monday, January 25th, at 7 p.m.
Now that the winter weather has truly
begun, please note the Library follows the Chichester Central
School’s lead for weather-related closures.
