Obituaries
Mary
Brucker
Epsom - Mary Brucker, age 77, formerly of Wakefield, MA, died on
Sunday, August 3, 2008, at Epsom Manor Nursing Home.
She was born in Jamaica Plain, MA, daughter of the late John
and Catherine (McKinnon) Powell. She graduated from Mission High
School in Boston, MA.
Mrs. Brucker worked as a secretary for Prudential Life, and had
also worked for Pottle’s Florist in Melrose, MA.
She enjoyed spending her summers at Locke Lake in Barnstead;
there she enjoyed spending her time with her friends of the
Locke Lakers. She enjoyed her winters at Fort Myers Beach in
Florida.
Mary loved spending time with her friends and family. She was a
wonderful hostess and loved to cook.
She is survived by her son, John Brucker and his wife, Barbara
of Amesbury, MA; a daughter, Kathleen Burns and her husband,
Michael of New Brockton, AL; her 2 grandsons, Matthew and Brian
Burns of New Brockton, AL; 2 brothers, Philip Powell of W.
Roxbury, MA, and Rev. Bernard Powell of Braintree, MA; and many
nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Brucker Sr. who died in
2007; a sister, Margaret Gill; and 3 brothers, John, Thomas and
George Powell.
A Funeral Service was held on Thursday, August 7, 2008, at in
the Chapel of the Waters Funeral Home. Concord.
Burial followed at the NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.

Robert
P. Cassidy
Epsom - Robert P. Cassidy, 67, of Lane Road, died Thursday, Aug.
7, 2008, at the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association's
Hospice House after a long battle with cancer.
Born on Sept. 13, 1940, Mr. Cassidy was the son of Patrick and
Yvonne (Kirouac) Cassidy. He grew up in Manchester and lived in
Londonderry for 20 years before he moved to Epsom, where he had
lived with his wife for the past 10 years.
He began his work career with J. F. McElwain Shoe Co. Then while
employed at Redimix Concrete in Nashua for 28 years, he became a
member of the Teamsters Union Local No. 633, and for the past 19
years, Mr. Cassidy had been employed by Carroll Street Auto in
Manchester.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting, but especially loved time spent
with his family, children, and grandchildren.
Mr. Cassidy was a Ham Radio operator with a call sign of RPC940.
He also built stock cars and was a member of the Canterbury
Doodlebug Club No. 25, a group formed to promote the
preservation of homemade antique tractors.
Members of his family include his wife of 30 years, Louise
(Hamel) Cassidy of Epsom; children and their spouses, Roland
Cassidy of Manchester, Marlene and Scott Dionne of Nashua, Frank
and Lori Cassidy of Epsom, Deborah Cote of Hudson, Debbie
Schaeffer of Florida, and Scott and Nicole Cassidy of Franklin;
10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Norman
Cassidy of Allenstown and Anita Deshaies and Lorraine Boisvert,
both of Manchester; and nieces and nephews.
Mr. Cassidy was predeceased by three brothers, Gerald, Raymond
and Roland.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday, August 11,
2008, at St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown.
Burial followed at St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
