is forming an 11/12 year old wooden bat fall baseball team. (70’ Diamond).

Gilmanton Fire Department News
On Tuesday August 4, 2009, at 4:47 PM,
the Gilmanton Fire Department with automatic response departments were
dispatched to a reported structure fire at 39 White Oak Road.
At 4:50 PM
Engine One arrived on the scene and reported smoke showing from the rear of
a single family, two and one half story, wood frame structure, with
neighbors reporting the occupants in the structure. The crew on Engine One
immediately requested a first alarm assignment bringing in mutual aid from
four neighboring departments.
At 4:57 PM a second alarm assignment was
requested due to the weather conditions and a lack of manpower on scene.
At 5:48 PM the fire was placed under control and the location of the
occupants was confirmed. There were no injuries to either civilians or
firefighters. The estimated damage to the home is approximately $175,000.00.
The structure is uninhabitable and the family of six has made arrangements
to stay elsewhere. The cause of the fire remains under investigation and is
being investigated by the Gilmanton Fire Department, Gilmanton Police
Department and the NH Fire Marshall’s Office.
The Gilmanton Fire and
Police Departments were assisted at the scene by the Alton Fire Department,
Belmont Fire Department, Barnstead Fire Rescue, Gilford Fire Rescue, Laconia
Fire Department, New Durham Fire Department, Loudon Fire Department,
Tilton-Northfield Fire and EMS, NH State Police. The Pittsfield Fire
Department covered the Gilmanton Fire Department.
