Deerfield Community Church Hosts Old Fashioned Variety Show
Peggy Tucker and Steve Soreff will be among the performers
at “The Forum’s Got Talent.”
Music,
mischief, food, fun and laughter! Join us for “The Forum’s Got
Talent” on June 15, 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Deerfield Community
Church for an old-fashioned variety show celebrating our
new-fashioned hyper-local on-line newspaper The Forum, which serves
the towns of Candia, Deerfield, Northwood, and Nottingham.
Refreshments, homemade (mostly) by Forum volunteers will be served.
In the
tradition of The Forum, the talent will be home grown. Among the
performers: Gary Hume, a Scottish fiddler; Peggy Tucker, raconteur,
of Nottingham; singer-songwriter Viki Gayhardt; actor/singer Mal
Cameron; singer Adi Rule and accompanist Kris Seavey of Northwood;
Steve Soreff aka Dr. Steve, standup comic; and musical duo Jon
Godfrey and Russ Clark.
Hosted
by Northwood storyteller Rebecca Rule, the evening will feature a
special guest from NH Public Radio, Brady Carlson.
Tickets
are $12 for adults, $6 for children under twelve, payable at the
door, but be sure to make your reservations soon (space is limited)

8th Grade Car Wash At Northwood Garage
The
Northwood School Class of 2013 has postponed its car wash at the
Northwood Garage until Saturday, June 8th. The class continues to
raise funds for their class trip to Washington D.C. in June. The car
wash will be manned by students and parents of the 8th grade class
at Northwood School and will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. In
addition, a small bake sale will also take place during that time.
The
Northwood Garage has long been a supporter of local community groups
who are in need of raising funds for different events and
activities. The car wash will be by donation, with a recommended
donation of at least $5.00. All baked goods will be sold by
donation. All profits will go directly towards this year’s class
trip. Hope To See You At The Northwood Garage On Saturday, June 8th!

Denial
Town of
Northwood voters elected a new Police Commissioner (Richard Wolfe)
back in March, for a three year term... Yet Town management,
administration, and leadership clings to its past by not updating
the town website for current times.
Is this
a last stand for the Town’s Good Old Boy network, or mere negligence
and oversight?
Please
honor and respect the voice of the Voters... And put any bitterness
and ill feelings aside. Update the Town website immediately, and
inform all who look to the website for factual information.
